SAP Garden

Directing flows. Making action visible, energy tangible.

The SAP Garden is one of Europe's most modern sports arenas and is the new home of EHC Red Bull Munich and FC Bayern Basketball. In addition to professional sports in the arena, the building offers additional space for recreational and club sports.

We developed the complete signage system for the SAP Garden with its complex route connections in a confined space. This included the functional concept for orientation, the coding of seats and blocks, and the design of all information and guidance elements. The aim was to provide intuitive, stress-free visitor guidance for large crowds.

The signage is an integral part of the architectural identity. The starting point was the iconic façade, whose design language was consistently translated into the orientation system. Large-format direct lettering, clear coding, site plans and a unique series of pictograms characterise the visual system and support the experience of dynamic and action sports.
