Tracing the course of the Berlin Wall

Presentation of information in the German Bundestag about the Berlin Wall on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. The border between East and West Germany ran through today’s parliamentary district between the Reichstag building and the Jakob-Kaiser-Haus. At its location in the connecting tunnel under Friedrich-Ebert-Platz, we highlighted the course of the Berlin Wall with an installation. Corten steel marks this former barrier which hundreds of members of parliament, employees and visitors cross every day. It is a contribution to expand cultural awareness and a reminder of the inhuman division of Berlin and Germany. An exhibition provides accompanying information.
