Exhibition opening “Honourable Member, you have the floor! –
Women shaping politics in Bavaria 1946–2018”

The occasion for the touring exhibition of the Bavarian State Parliament was the 70th anniversary of the Bavarian Constitution and for its expansion and new presentation – 100 years of women’s suffrage. The exhibition and the extensive catalogue with accompanying booklet (“The Departure of Women into Politics – The First Women in the Bavarian State Parliament 1918–1933”) depicts the history, background, challenges, data, biographies and profiles of women in politics in Bavaria.

The exhibition addresses the unequal distribution of the sexes in the Bavarian State Parliament and pays tribute to the equality of women in politics. The contents were chosen and edited by Prof. Dr. Neri-Ultsch (University of Regensburg).

Our design of the exhibition and accompanying publications shows posterized portrait photos of all female parliamentarians since the establishment of the Bavarian State Parliament as the title motif. Informative “lighthouses”, an interactive research terminal and lecterns with the biographies of selected female members of parliament characterize the exhibition, which is going on tour throughout all of Bavaria.
