Cultural Department of the City of Munich

The Artothek’s first invitation card with its new look is created. The O as the connecting element of the two parts of the word is stretched symbolically. It was inspired by various furnishings in the picture room, the historic room 8 of a former jewellery shop in the pulsating city centre of Munich. It belongs to the collection wing of the city museum designed by Gustav Gsaenger in the 1960s, with windows characteristic for their narrow metal profiles.
